Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

To provide the Service, JusticeOS (a product of Empathy Labs LLC) collects:

• Free Clerk Check: the files you submit are processed transiently to run the check and are not saved by JusticeOS. If you choose to unlock the itemized report, we store your email address and result counts; we do not store the submitted document content. If you are signed in and explicitly choose to keep specific readings from your pages (for example the name printed in the caption), those individual values — never the files — are saved to your own case, and only the ones you tick.
• Account workspace: your account email address, the case facts you enter during intake, documents you add to your case, and documents JusticeOS generates for you.

2. Where it's stored

Account and case-workspace data is stored with Supabase behind row-level security so that only your account can read your own case data. Free Clerk Check uploads follow the separate transient-processing flow described above.

3. How we use your data

We use the case facts and documents you provide for one purpose only: to render the court forms and guidance for your own case. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your case data — or any documents you upload — to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. We also measure how long preparation steps take — durations only, never the content of what you type or upload — so that any time-saved figure we report is honestly measured.

Some processing (for example, extracting information from a document you upload, or powering the guided intake chat) is performed via the Anthropic API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train Anthropic's models.

4. How long we keep it

We currently retain account and case-workspace data while your account remains active. We do not promise a fixed automatic-deletion schedule. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support; we will confirm the scope of your request and its completion.

5. A note on your safety

If you are using JusticeOS in a domestic violence situation, we strongly recommend signing up with an email account the other party cannot access, and signing out of shared or monitored devices after each session. JusticeOS cannot control the security of a device or email account the other party can read.

6. Your rights (California residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect about you, request deletion of your personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do; we do not sell or share your personal information. 7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date.
