JusticeOS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. What we collect

To provide the Service, JusticeOS (a product of Empathy Labs LLC) collects:

  • Your account email address, used for sign-in and communication about your case.
  • The case facts you enter during intake (for example, names, dates, and incident details needed to fill your court forms).
  • Documents you upload, and the documents JusticeOS generates for you.

2. Where it's stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, in U.S.-based infrastructure, behind row-level security so that only your account can read your own case data.

3. How we use your data

We use the case facts and documents you provide for one purpose only: to render the court forms and guidance for your own case. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your case data — or any documents you upload — to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.

Some processing (for example, extracting information from a document you upload, or powering the guided intake chat) is performed via the Anthropic API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train Anthropic's models.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your case data while your account remains active, and we will delete it on request — contact support and we will remove your data.

[TODO: exact automatic-deletion / retention windows (e.g., how long inactive accounts or completed cases are retained before automatic deletion) are pending a formal data-retention policy decision. This section will be updated with specific timeframes once that decision is made.]

5. A note on your safety

If you are using JusticeOS in a domestic violence situation, we strongly recommend signing up with an email account the other party cannot access, and signing out of shared or monitored devices after each session. JusticeOS cannot control the security of a device or email account the other party can read.

6. Your rights (California residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect about you, request deletion of your personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do; we do not sell or share your personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date.
