What Quick exit does, and what it does not

The Quick exit button sits at the top of every page. It replaces the page you are on with a Google weather search right away, and pressing the Esc key twice does the same. Pressing Back will not return to the page you left. But Quick exit does not erase your browser history: other JusticeOS pages you opened can still show up there, and Back may still reach them. It also cannot hide your visit from spyware or a monitoring app on your phone or computer.

Safer ways to use this site

• Use a private or incognito window. When you close it, the browser does not keep the pages you visited in its history.
• Use a device the other person cannot reach, like a trusted friend's phone or a public library computer. This is the safest choice if you think your device has spyware on it.
• Clear your browser history when you are done. If a fully empty history would look unusual, delete only the JusticeOS pages.
• Use an email account the other person cannot read, and sign out when you finish on a shared device.
• A payment can show up on a card statement, bank statement, or PayPal history that the other person can see.
