Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident using JusticeOS. Because our software delivers value progressively — from initial guidance through to a completed, reviewed document packet — refund eligibility is tiered to when you request it.
Before any document is generated
You've started intake but haven't reached the human-review/generation step: full refund, no questions asked, within 14 days of purchase.
After documents are generated but before the human-review gate is completed
You have draft forms but haven't been cleared to download or file: 50% refund within 14 days of purchase, reflecting the compute, form-rendering, and review-queue resources already used.
After the human-review gate is completed and final documents are released
You have your finished, filing-ready packet: refunds are not available by default, since the product has been fully delivered. We will still review refund requests case-by-case for genuine defects (for example, a form field mapped incorrectly due to a software error) — contact support and we will investigate and correct or refund as appropriate.
Subscription products
If applicable (for example, the divorce case-open plan): you may cancel at any time; the current billing period is non-refundable, but no further charges will occur after cancellation. If you cancel before any documents are generated in that billing period, that period is refunded in full under the same 14-day rule above.
Before disputing a charge
We ask that before disputing a charge with your bank, you contact JusticeOS support first — most issues (access problems, form errors, confusion about a step) can be resolved directly and faster than a chargeback, and a direct resolution avoids the delay and account restrictions a chargeback can trigger for both of us.
[TODO: this policy is a first draft, not counsel-approved language, and should receive legal review before Paddle submission. It is also not yet confirmed whether California imposes statutory refund-right requirements for this category of software/document service — confirm before publishing as final.]
